It's certainly a measure of an artist's professionalism when something unscripted happens during a show.
And when an unfortunate audience member took a nasty fall down the steep steps of Plymouth Pavilions on Thursday night, comedy superstar Michael McIntyre dealt with it admirably.
Well, as admirably as he could, given that he quite obviously had no clue what had happened, although many of us saw first hand the poor young woman stumble and then fall to the foot of the stairs.
